Drink driver veers off road, crashes into tree

A driver who crashed into a tree off Eumundi Noosa Rd at Doonan returned a positive roadside breath test, according to police.

Police, firefighters and paramedics responded to the crash about 9.15pm Monday.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the driver returned the positive alcohol reading.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said one crew attended, but was only required for a few minutes.

They made the scene safe before leaving it in the hands of police and Queensland Ambulance Service.

Emergency services could not provide further details on the driver, or the alleged alcohol reading.
