Driver escapes uninjured after truck loses traction

A QUEENSLAND man escaped unhurt when his B-double lost traction and veered off the road at Dirty Creek.

Inspector Tony Milner of Grafton Police said the driver lost control of the truck, causing it to cross into the other lane of the Pacific Hwy and jack-knife through the railing, into the surrounding bushes.

The diesel tanks ruptured causing it to spill by the roadside.

The driver, who had travelled from Brisbane and was headed to Sydney, was treated for shock after the incident at about 11pm on Tuesday night.

The truck was salvaged yesterday morning.
