Driver charged after car chase through Grafton

A MAN has been charged after allegedly ramming a police vehicle with a stolen car during a pursuit through Grafton.

About 3.25am Sunday, police allegedly sighted a 19-year-old man leaving Bob Lidiard Park in a stolen Holden Rodeo utility.

When attempts to stop the vehicle allegedly failed, a two-police vehicle pursuit was initiated.

Police will allege the driver of the stolen car rammed one of the police vehicles before being stopped.

Three occupants of the car were arrested and taken to Grafton Police Station.

A search of the stolen car located two firearms and ammunition, which are the property of the vehicle's registered owner.

The driver of the stolen car was charged with take and drive offences, police pursuit - not stop (Skye's Law), driving and detention application offences.

He was bail refused to appear at Grafton Local Court.
