Easter to add colour to fundraiser

THERE will be no excuses for not dressing up and getting into the spirit of Easter on April 15 when the Yamba Red Cross hosts its next fundraising event with an added flourish of colour.

The Easter hat parade competition, open to both men and women, will give people the perfect opportunity to bring an Easter theme to those bowlers, boaters, wide brims and berets tucked away in wardrobes.

A sausage sizzle lunch with Devonshire tea, coffee and cold drinks will follow the hat parade.

The parade is open to people of all ages and first and second prizes will be awarded in the male and female categories.

Starting at 11am, the Yamba Red Cross fund-raiser will be held at the Oyster Cove Roundhouse in Orion Drive, Yamba. Raffle tickets will be sold.

Entry in the Easter hat parade is a $5 donation.
