Eight injured in serious Pacific Highway crash

UPDATE (6.45pm): The Rescue Helicopter is about to leave the scene and the Pacific Highway should reopen in the next few minutes.

It is believed the helicopter is transporting two injured persons.

ORIGINAL POST: THREE cars have been involved in a serious crash on the Pacific Highway.

The crash occurred at the Telegraph Street, Cowper turn off, with reports of up to eight people injured, one seriously.

LiveTrafficNSW reports the southbound lanes are closed, but there is a "lane of traffic flowing in each direction along the northbound carriageway".

All emergency services are at the scene, with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter en route.
