Election ramping up

CANDIDATES in the Clarence by-election will launch into campaign mode on October 28 when the writs are issued signalling the traditional start of the campaign.

Four parties have announced they will have candidates running so far.

The Nationals pre-selected Chris Gulaptis last Sunday, Country Labor has endorsed former Daily Examiner editor Peter Ellem as its candidate, Janet Cavanaugh has put her hand up for the Greens and Bethany Camac will run for the Christian Democratic Party.
