End of the bromance: Caleb's shock Big Brother exit

NICE guys really do finish last, on Big Brother at least.

Fireman Caleb Geppert was booted off the reality show after his first time up for eviction.

Only 0.1 percent of the public vote separated Geppert from fellow nice-guy Ed Lower.

His best mate Matt Filippi was clearly sad to see his bro go, although it was Tully, as usual, who was bawling her eyes out.

Just last week it was Filippi up for eviction with his family and fans making signs to "save the bromance".

"We all thought he would win," a shocked Tim Dormer said.

Speaking of Tim, the king of the misfits' gamble paid off.

The Sydney surfer voluntarily put himself up for eviction in a test of his popularity with the viewers.

A massive 40.2 percent of the viewers voted to save Dormer.

Geppert brushed off Dormer's claims he acted like a "sheep" in the house.

"He saw the boys club in the house as a little bit of a threat to him," Geppert said.

"Matt and I got along really well. We had a bit of a bromance in the house."

He teared up when talking to host Sonia Kruger about his close friendship with Filippi.

"If I didn't win it, I would just love him to win it. He's like my brother I've never had," he said.

"I'm planning on spending a bit of time with him surfing on the Sunshine Coast."

He played down his near romance with Lucy Mercer, one half of the "sugar sisters".

"A little bit of the shine came off. It was like we didn't really communicate a lot and communication is a massive thing in my world," he said.

"I had a really strong connection with Tahan (Lew-Fatt), but she's more of a sister to me obviously. I found myself in a bit of a spot between them (Tahan and Katie and Lucy).

Geppert passed on the nomination superpower to Filippi.
