Enjoy the cool change while it lasts

THE scorching heat will be a distant memory come the weekend, as a predicted cool change brings some relief from the summer heat onslaught of earlier this week.

The forecast from the Bureau of Meteorology predicts temperatures ranging in between 25C and 28C for Grafton from Saturday to Monday, while Yamba is predicted to be in the mid-20Cs for the weekend. Possible showers are also forecast for the same period.

A low pressure trough and associated cold front is behind the cool change, which will bring with it showers, before a high pressure system will move in for sunny and settled conditions.

The break from the heat will be short lived however, as temperatures are expected to climb back up into the 30s in Grafton and high 20s in Yamba for early next week.
