Experience gives braden a leg up

BRADEN Cooper plays Lego on an almost daily basis, so it wasn't a shock that he won the seniors Lego Challenge at Grafton Shoppingworld on Friday.

The competition was for kids aged eight to 14 and there were plenty of up-and-coming builders and creative minds, to compete against.

In the heat to the final, Braden made a fighter jet and in the finals he made a scorpion.

“I play pretty much every day.

“I wake up at about 6am and play from then on,” Braden said.

Like most nine-year-old boys, Braden is interested in robots, so his favourite Lego set is Exo Force.

This set has all the pieces to build robots and humans.

“Sometimes the whole family joins in, but sometimes it is just me,” he said.

However, Braden does have other things that he likes to do.

“I do nippers and I do my homework,” he said.
