Career Expo to provide insight

THIS year, high school students will have the opportunity to ask questions and meet people who are working in the industries they may like to join one day.

The 2010 Grafton Career Expo will take place on Wednesday, June 9 at the Grafton TAFE campus and will feature many local business people and educators who will be able to have a conversation with attendees and give the young people of Grafton an insight into many different industries.

Some of the organisations that will be putting up a display at the event are ReMax, NORTEC Employment, Defence Force Recruiting and Manpower Services, Country Energy, Grafton Base Hospital, ANZ Bank and Southern Cross University, while The Daily Examiner will also be in attendance.

Nine TAFE faculties will also have displays, ideal if you are thinking of entering a trade.

While the expo is marketed toward high school students, members of the wider community, as well as parents, are invited to attend.

Whether you are unemployed or looking for a career change, the Grafton Career Expo will have a range of exhibitors to appeal to a wide audience.

The day will kick off at 8.30am, with school groups scheduled to view the expo throughout the day. The expo will finish at 5pm.
