Facebook page on Yamba riot

WITH the Yamba riot trial set to reconvene on March 7, an internet page has been set up about the incident which saw a police paddywagon gutted by fire and more than 16 people charged by police.

Entitled Yamba Riot 2010, the page on social networking site facebook so far has one person who ‘likes’ it.

Listed as a community organisation, the person celebrating their birthday when the riot occurred at his house, Dylan McNeill, is the only fan of the page so far.

In a post on the ‘wall’ of the page, Mr McNeill says ‘about time we see some justice in the court, well over-due.”

On the information section of the page headlines from the Daily Examiner stories on the three weeks of the trial held last year are listed.

Along with a hyperlink to the Daily Examiner’s website, the headlines include Cop breaks down in Yamba riot trial, Mistakes in officer's statement, Police witness admits mistakes and More police errors emerge in court.
