Families in force near river

SUMMER holidays are all about getting together with family and friends.

Julie Brumwich and Melinda Anderson are doing just that.

Travelling with a group of friends of all ages, the 18 adults and their 23 kids set up chairs, brought their eskies and fired up the barbecue on the Clarence River at Corcoran Park for a day of fun.

The group has travelled from Terrigal near the Central Coast and are holidaying at Woolgoolga for a week.

Melinda and her husband discovered the Clarence Valley while returning from a Queensland trip and instantly fell in love with the beaches and the relaxed lifestyle. It didn’t take long for word to spread among her friends and this is the group’s third consecutive visit to the area.

“It is so relaxing that there is nothing that you have to do and that’s how a holiday should be,” Julie said. “It’s absolutely stunning here and family friendly.”
