Famous road run ready to go

YOU may have noticed a lot more people pounding the pavement in recent times.

While some are simply taking advantage of their legs to admire the beauty of the flowering jacarandas, others are training for arguably the most important race date on the running calendar: the Jacaranda Fun Run.

The famous fun run will return on November 3 with organiser Andrew Black hoping for similar entry levels to last year's 490 runners.

The event will offer races across three distances: two, five and 10 kilometres.

The five and 10km races will start together at Caramana Park, Waterview Heights from 8am, and will follow a 5km circuit in the local area.

Online entries are open and runners are encouraged to use that option to register and take advantage of the cheaper fees.

Runners and walkers of any ability are encouraged to participate.
