Fatality on the Pacific Highway

ANOTHER life has been lost on the Pacific Highway after an accident just north of Woodburn this afternoon.

The crash occurred between one car and a concrete tanker about 2km north of the small Northern Rivers town, with the woman driver of a white sedan believed to have died at the scene.

Heavy rain is believed to have been falling at the time and may have contributed to the crash. All other people involved in the accident are believed to be not seriously injured.

Emergency services are still at the scene and traffic is being diverted via the Summerland Way.
