ABOUT three years ago a fiery European redhead entered the life of Grafton man Peter Arnull, and he can't wait to show her off this weekend at the Grafton Vintage Motor Vehicle Club's Annual Show and Shine Event.

The redhead is of course Mr Arnull's bright-red 1974 Mercedes 450 SL V8 convertible – his pride and joy.

Mr Arnull, who is also in the process of restoring another car – not to mention owning five vintage motorcycles – is no stranger to restoring classic and vintage vehicles, a passion he thanks his father for.

“I think I originally caught the car bug from my father.

"He always had old cars and spent a lot of time working on them, I've always had an interest in it since then,” Mr Arnull said.

Catch Mr Arnull's beast along with many other classic and vintage cars at the Show and Shine Event at the Grafton Showground this Sunday.

Check out tomorrow's Daily Examiner for more information about the event.
