Find your career today

THE Careers Expo at the Grafton TAFE today could provide jobseekers with the perfect opportunity to drop off a CV to a prospective employer, says organiser James Patterson.

Mr Patterson, the executive officer of the Grafton Chamber of Commerce, said employers would welcome the chance to take details from job– seekers.

“Employers would see it as a great chance to match up with jobs,” he said.

“It’s a good way for them to shortlist people.”

Mr Patterson said the list of speakers and topics on offer could attract up to 3000 people to the expo.

Schools from throughout the region will bus pupils to the Expo, which starts at 10am.

Mr Patterson said there would be three sessions throughout the day from 10am to noon, 12.30pm to 2.30pm and 3pm to 5pm.

“We’ve done that to spread the crowds out,” he said.

He said the range of speakers and organisations participating would ensure there was something for people of all ages.

At the conclusion of the Expo participants are invited to a free networking event at the TAFE restaurant, beginning at 5.30pm.
