Firearm discharged at Coutts Crossing

A COUTTS Crossing man has been arrested during a police investigation into a possible firearms offence.

Following up on a complaint in relation to the discharge of a firearm at a premises on Kangaroo Creek Rd last week, Grafton detectives conducted a police operation at a separate premises on the same street yesterday morning.

Soon after, police executed a search warrant at the premises.

A 35-year-old Coutts Crossing man was arrested at the scene and taken to the Grafton Police Station.

At the time The Daily Examiner went to print he was assisting police with inquiries.

Coffs/Clarence crime manager Detective Inspector Darren Jameson said investigations into the incident were ongoing.
