Firefighters still battling to contain Bundjalung blaze

Up to 70 NSW Rural Fire Service crew have been working to contain a fire in the Bundjalung National Park thought to have been ignited by lightning last weekend.

The fire, in remote peat country near the Black Rock camping area, has burnt through 270 hectares of park and has led to road closures and heavy smoke from back-burning.

The area was extensively burnt out in October 2007 but has escaped drenching from recent storms.
