First in showgirl quest

The Daily Examiner

THE first entry for the Grafton Showgirl competition is in.

Rebekah Rogan has entered for the second time.

“I entered a few years ago, and wasn't successful, so I decided to enter again this year,” Rebekah said.

“It was a great experience to learn so much about the show and meet so many people.

“I think that it is a really good thing to get involved in because it is really fun and you get to see a different side of the show.”

Rebekah has spent four years in Grafton and the 21-year-old lives with her mother at Copmanhurst. She works at City Centre Newsagency.

She loves spending time outdoors.

“I really enjoy horse riding, gardening, photography and cooking in my spare time,” she said.

The Grafton Showgirl competition is open to all women, aged from 18 to 25 years.

If successful, you act as the ambassador for the Grafton Show and have the opportunity to progress through the zone finals to attend the Sydney Royal Easter Show and compete for the title of Sydney Royal Easter Showgirl.

To nominate contact the Grafton Show Society on 6642 2240.
