Floating cable in river
More than a kilometre of cabling will be towed by tug boat across the Clarence River today and tomorrow between 9 and 10.30am as part of the Country Energy upgrade of Iluka’s electricity supply.
NSW Maritime will patrol the floating cable at either end and boats using the river are asked to go around these patrol boats or wait for them to pass. Floats will be placed at 150m intervals along the cable for easy visibility.
