Flood Recovery Services available this weekend in the Valley

THE flood recovery centre at the old Black Toyota building (106 Prince Street Grafton) will be open this weekend from 8am till 6.pm Saturday and Sunday.

This centre can also be contacted by phone on (02) 6642 4854.

Flood information and assistance in the Lower Clarence area will be available at the Department of Human Services (Centrelink) at Yamba Fair Shopping Centre in Treelands Drive Yamba. This centre will be set up as a community recovery centre and available from 9am till 1pm Saturday and Sunday.

If you are unable to attend a Recovery Centre, Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) assistance is available online at humanservices.gov.au/disaster or by phone on 1802 266.

Clarence Valley Council Mayor Richie Williamson said: "Over 500 affected residents have already contacted the flood recovery centre in Grafton for support. During these difficult times I encourage all affected residents to contact either centre to gain relevant information and assistance".
