flooding cuased by the Hwy

The local member will visit my place tomorror afternoon to discuss flooding of houses 1kg north 0f the ferry that is a direct result of no drainage under the hwy. The pending upgrade of the Hwy for the Old post Office Lane turning lane with the Hwy to be raised arround 300mm will most certainly flood my home given that the water was only 25mm below the floor this time. The project manger Stephen Williamson said there were no plans to put in drainage. CVC/floodplains manager Frank Rasborsek said they were not aware the hwy was being raised and contacted the RMS to ask and was told there are no plans to raise the hwy. However the diagram posted in the local Newsagents window clear shows that the proposed plan is to raise the Hwy 300mm all the way from old Post Olfice Lane through to the end of the works in front of my place at 1509 Pacific Hwy and will put at furher risk the properties along the riverfront.
