Four drink driving charges

FOUR men have been charged with drink-driving in separate incidents at Yamba.

Three of the failed random breath tests occurred on Yamba Rd.

A 61-year-old Iluka man was the first to be charged after being stopped for an RBT on Friday. A breath analysis allegedly returned a reading between 0.05 and 0.08.

Another low range alcohol charge was laid against a 36-year-old Yamba man at 12.40am on Saturday, after he was stopped on Wooli St, Yamba.

Later that day, about 2pm, a 44-year-old Yamba man was stopped by police at a stationary RBT site. A breath analysis allegedly returned a reading between 0.08 and 0.15.

A 26-year-old man was taken to Yamba police station after failing a breath test at 1.40am on Sunday. He was also charged with a mid-range drink-driving offence.

Each is expected to face Maclean Local Court on March 10.
