Free gala concert tickets

CLARENCE MP Chris Gulaptis is offering local seniors free tickets to attend one of four Premier's Week gala concerts to be held in Sydney during the NSW Seniors Festival in March.

This year the concerts will be held at the new International Convention Centre at Darling Harbour and will be staged from March 7-8, with concerts at 11am and 2.15pm each day.

There are 40 tickets available, to be given out on a first come, first served basis to seniors in the Clarence electorate who phone 6643 1244.

Residents will have to be quick, as Mr Gulaptis needs to advise the names of ticket holders to the organisers in Sydney by next Friday, February 17 in order to secure the tickets.

Mr Gulaptis said the NSW Government would not be providing free transport to the Sydney concert, but pensioners would be entitled to concessions if travelling by rail.

He said the gala concert was one of numerous events to mark the Seniors Festival in March, as part of the community's recognition of the valuable ongoing contribution of older residents to society.
