Fresh Dental Care crowned the 2015 Business of the Year

FRESH Dental Care was crowned the 2015 Business of the Year last night at the annual The Daily Examiner Clarence Valley Business Excellence Awards.

190 guests, including MP Kevin Hogan and Mayor Richie Williamson, relaxed during pre-dinner drinks at the Yamba Golf and Country Club but the nervous tension began for the 47 Award Finalists once the proceedings got underway.

A very special guest gave an inspiring speech at the Awards dinner for the first time, Robyn Hobbs, NSW Small Business Commissioner.

During the sumptuous 3 course meal 16 Awards were presented to well deserving businesses and staff including Ruth Finlay from Addictive Hair and Beauty who won the Trainee or Apprentice of the Year Award.

Judging coordinator Adam Gordon said the judges decisions were not always easy with quite a few categories having two or more close contenders.

"I was very impressed with the very high quality of all the participants and they are well deserving of our congratulations," Mr Gordon said.

Event Organiser, Erica Fletcher, deemed the event "a success".

"It's an eight month process to organise the awards and I was worried on Saturday that I had missed something but it was all good. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves."
