Frog species face extinction threat

SEVEN species of Australian frogs are facing potential extinction at the hands of the chytrid fungus, which has already wiped out six native frog species.

Researchers at Southern Cross University believe it could take just $15 million to help prevent the extinctions.

The southern corroboree frog, Tasmanian tree frog, armoured mist frog and others are at risk. - ARM NEWSDESK
