From bridge to the Brush

SAILORS are invited to attend a Regatta to be hosted by the Clarence River Yacht Club to be sailed on the river from the Grafton Bridge to Brushgrove.

The event will take place on the Clarence River over the weekend commencing Friday, February 26.

The main day of sailing coincides with the Brushgrove Anniversary Race for trailer yachts, keel yachts and multihulls, which celebrates the formation of the Clarence River Yacht Club 24 years ago.

This year a catamaran regatta has been combined with the Brushgrove Anniversary Race for the first time to support local and interstate catamaran racing.

However races for the catamarans will stand alone as individual events.

Some basic canteen and BBQ facilities will be available over the weekend to assist the visiting sailors and to allow locals to have an excuse to hang around.

Cat sailors and yachties are invited to camp at the CRYC grounds or stay on yachts making use of the in the river for the weekend.

Rigging area for catamarans will be available on the bank below the club facilities at the North St end of Corcorane Park.

A presentation and BBQ Dinner will be held for all sailors on Saturday night.
