Fuel prices fall below $1 for first time in ... how long?
WHO can remember when petrol was this cheap in the Clarence Valley?
The United and Matilda stations on the Pacific Highway at South Grafton and the United in Bent St all have their E10 prices below $1 today, with regular unleaded at the United stations at 101.5 cents a litre.
The fall in petrol prices in the past 12 months - Grafton prices were about $1.30 a litre a year ago - is generally attributed to the falling world oil price and the declining Australian dollar.
Diesel prices haven't fallen as quickly, with most in the region about $1.15 a litre.
Can anyone tell us the last time fuel prices were this low?
