HELPING to "Light up the Darkness" there will be a fundraising dinner next month at Yamba Bowling Club.

Darren Flanagan, the explosives expert integral to the rescue of miners Todd Russell and Brant Webb from Beaconsfield in 2006, will be guest speaker at the event which is designed to raise community awareness about mental health issues and raise money to help secure the services of a dedicated mental health nurse practitioner for the Lower Clarence.

The dinner will be held at the Yamba Bowling Club on Saturday, November 3. Tickets are $50 per head and there will be entertainment, raffles and an auction.

Tickets are available from the Bowling Club. Book early for this event, and support this critical community initiative.
