Fundraising quest hopeful

HOPING to add a bit of a rural feel to the 2011 Jacaranda Queen Quest, Natasha Lentfer has ambitious fundraising plans.

“I really want to hold a big event once a month, right up until crowning. Then I'd like to hold a raffle every Sunday at the Grafton District Services Club, who I'm lucky enough to be sponsored by,” said the Braunstone raised 18 year old.

“I want to raise as much money as possible for the festival because I really believe that our community would not be the same without it.”

Natasha who tried for Junior Jacaranda Queen when she was 10, has been waiting to turn 18 so she could put her name down for the senior quest.

“I finished school last year and was planning on a gap year this year so I could do Showgirl and Jacaranda, but it hasn't really worked out like that.

“I have still put my name down for both competitions but I am also at uni doing primary school teaching and working two jobs, so this year is really busy.

“But I'm already looking forward to it.”
