Generous offer to gather memories

SAFETY Beach woman Helen Martin-Duryea has made a generous offer to all Clarence Valley residents who lost family at Gallipoli.

Mrs Martin-Duryea will travel to Turkey later this year and will be at Gallipoli four days before the Anzac centenary service.

While there she is willing to try to locate the graves of relatives of Clarence Valley residents and take a photo of the plaques.

"I'll do my best but there are no promises," she said.

This list of Gallipoli servicemen was compiled with the help of Grafton RSL Sub-branch president Brian Bultitude, the Grafton Honour Roll and Tony Morley's Clarence Valley First World War Volunteers.
