Get dressed up for the pyjama party for Junior Jaca

THROW on your pyjamas, grab your friends and head to I Scream for a night of frivolity.

With music, dancers, ice cream and Big River Pizza slices, the Junior Jacaranda fundraising event is sure to give the public and the junior candidates a chance to let their hair down while raising money.

It is the fifth fundraiser hosted by the Grafton ice cream parlour in as many years, and organiser and I Scream owner Jeff Smith said his staff would be sure to get out the hair curlers and fluffy slippers out for the occasion.

"We'll decorate the whole place, and all the staff will dress up," he said.

The Big River Rockers will be showing people how to tear it up on the dance floor and Big River Pizza will offer up some of their tastiest slices.

A portion of the profits from the night will go towards the Junior Jacaranda funding campaign.

Junior Jacaranda director Karen Hackett said the event was also a great chance for anyone thinking about being a candidate next year to see what it was all about.

"You don't have to be involved with the festival to participate in these fundraisers, we'd love to see the general public come along," she said.
