Get ready to rock out the night at the PBR

THE Daily Examiner/Rural Weekly PBR bullriding at Grafton Showground on Saturday, May 7, might be mostly about the cowboys and the beasts, but there will be plenty of other entertainment, too.

Music plays a major part in these events, entertaining the crown during the breaks and after the action in the ring is finished.

Anyone who was at the Showground for last year's PBR and stayed when the bullriding had finished will remember people dancing and having a great time well into the night.

It was a great way to cap off the evening and some people just didn't want to go home.

For this year's event, top-class Northern Rivers covers band Occarock will be pumping out the tunes.

Every gig the power trio plays is full of 'in your face rock' played with power and passion.

Occarock are into their 10th year gigging around the traps - and with the same line-up.

Their repertoire consists of classics from the '70s through to today, and as one happy publican was quoted to say, "Every person in the room knew each one of the songs - what a great concept!"

Bands and performers on their set list include AC/DC, Cold Chisel, Dire Straits, Hoodoo Gurus, Midnight Oil, The Angels and ZZ Top.

To make sure you are there to enjoy the music and the amazing bullriding action, now is the time to secure your tickets.

Premium ringside and grandstand tickets are $50 each for adults, $30 for children (3-16 years), and $130 for a family (two adults and two children).

General admission tickets are $35 (adults), $20 (children) and $90 (family).

Buy them at www.ruralweekly.com.au/ liveseries or by calling into The Daily Examiner office at 55 Fitzroy St, Grafton.
