Get your baby into the books

BABIES will be bouncing to rhymes, songs and stories at the Iluka Library in February.

The Grafton Regional Library's Baby Bounce program is for babies aged 6-12 months and will commence at Iluka on Monday, February 4. It will continue for every Monday in February from 10.30am to 11.30am.

Mayor Richie Williamson said the Baby Bounce program was a great way to introduce babies to a lifetime's enjoyment of books and reading.

"It's a wonderful initiative providing a wealth of skill development opportunities for babies and their parents and carers. It sounds like a lot of fun as well," Cr Williamson said.

"The interactive sessions will be full of popular songs, rhymes, finger plays and stories. They provide a fun atmosphere in which babies can develop literacy and social skills. It also provides a great networking opportunity for parents."

Bookings are essential and can be made by contacting Iluka Library on 6646 6542.
