Ghosties snubbed for rep honours

U18 RUGBY LEAGUE: Despite featuring prominently in both clashes for the Group 2 Under 18 representative side at the recent East Coast Dolphins trials none of the four Clarence Valley future stars were picked for further duties.

The Group 2 side, which featured four Grafton Ghosts under 18s, won one of their two round robin matches against Group 3 and Group 1 but were awarded the trophy based on for and against.

Lionel Johnson, Malcolm Scott and Liam Bloomer from the Ghosts were joined by late call up to the squad Billy Nissen, who is making his return to the blue and whites after spending two years at famed Queensland rugby league high school Keebra Park State High School.

The Ghosts’ youth unit will be eager to get under way in their first season under premiership winning coach Col Speed who joined the Ghosts in the off-season.

Season kicks off first weekend of April.
