Give telly the flick and see the stars
GRAB a picnic blanket and get ready to help Emmet save the universe as Newcastle Permanent's Cinema Under the Stars brings The Lego Movie back to the big screen in Grafton on Friday, February 13.
Newcastle Permanent's Cinema Under the Stars is the largest free, regional outdoor cinema program in Australia, visiting a total of 16 locations for its eighth season.
Pre-movie entertainment will start at 5.30pm with Northern NSW Football's inflatable soccer pitch and performances from top musicians before the movie screens atsunset.
Newcastle Permanent CEO Terry Millett and the Cinema Under the Stars program was part of the company's commitment to the local community.
"We invite families to come down to Memorial Park, enjoy a free night of entertainment and experience the atmosphere of watching a popular family film in the great outdoors," Mr Millett said.
"There will be free popcorn to give a true movie experience with other food and non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase.
"Bringing Cinema Under the Stars to you is just one way we support the good stuff in our community, and this season is our biggest yet."
Last season, more than 1500 attended the Grafton event. Numbers are expected to be similar this year.
