Goodger, now the NSW Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association Executive Officer, will teach local umpires and prospective umpires on the laws of the game.

He has put out an open invitation to those who wish to partake in the course which will start at 9am on Saturday and Sunday.

"It's been quite a few years since Darren came here to deliver on a workshop for the umpires association of Grafton," Clarence River District Cricket Umpires Association secretary Jeff Hackett said.

"The last time Darren came we were disappointed with the numbers who turned up.

"Goodger is highly regarded among the NSW cricket umpiring ranks and is a brilliant presenter. It is worth coming along to learn the laws of the game from someone who knows them well."

Neil Disson has organised the weekend workshops for the Clarence River Cricket Association and has already got numbers for current umpires who would like to partake but will need numbers for prospective umpires who want to sit the Laws of Cricket Examination for the first time on Sunday.

For non-badged umpires it is a $40 charge for the workshop and examination.

Any further inquiries and nominations should be made to Disson on 6643 1090.
