Grafton awaits for grandmother of nine
FORMER Graftonian Kaylene Chaponnel finds a lot to like about her home town, especially now she has moved to Noosa.
Mrs Chaponnel comes back to the city to visit her nine grandchildren and also her elderly mother every four or five weeks and cannot wait to make the trip.
“Grafton’s got so much more going for it than Noosa,” she said. “For a start there’s the river, and the main street looks gorgeous since they did some work on it,” she said.
Mrs Chaponnel also loves the proximity of the city to the beautiful beaches on the coast.
“My husband’s a keen surfer and goes for a surf at Noosa every day,” she said.
“When we’re here he goes every day and can choose from places like Angourie, Wooli, Arrawarra all just a short drive away.”
Mrs Chaponnel also has taken a keen interest in the debate over the future of the Saraton Theatre.
