Grafton Ghosts' clubhouse gutted by fire

GRAFTON police and fire brigade were called to Frank McGuren Field earlier tonight following a suspected arson.

Emergency services were contact about 9.05pm with reports of a fire.

Grafton Ghosts Junior Rugby League president Brett Nay said the damage bill could creep into the thousands.

"Just looking at it you'd have to say there's a few thousand dollars worth of damage," Nay said.

It is suspected the blaze started when bins placed around the clubhouse were set alight.

There are no reports of injury.

It is the latest in a spate of fires in the last week following incidents at Westlawn Public School and See Park.
