Grafton High students try their hand at travel tales

HERE at The Daily Examiner we love showcasing local talent, even if it ends up threatening our jobs!

On Monday we'll be showcasing the writing talent of several students from Grafton High School.

A few weeks ago the paper was contacted by Kyran Armstrong, who is a history teacher at Grafton High.

Ms Armstrong asked if we could publish an article about a recent school trip to South-East Asia.

She offered for a journalist to come and interview some of the girls who had made the journey.

But on further discussion the idea of the girls submitting their own articles was raised.

After a short meeting with DEX journalist Lachlan Thompson, stories were assigned.

In Monday's paper we will be featuring reflections from Grafton High students Bronte Zuill, Katelyn Ford and Kara Goodwin, along with their photos.

All three have done well to capture their experience about the food, the climate, the people, the landscape and even the traffic.

We look forward to sharing their work with you. Don't forget all your school news in Tuesday's paper.
