Grafton row club holds learning day

ROWING: Ever thought about rowing? Saturday, February 13, is the date for Grafton Rowing Club's next adult "Introduction to Rowing" day.

This is a special day for the over 18's, although children of these learners are also welcome to attend. It is a no obligation, free introduction to rowing.

The club's only requirement is that all rowers must be able to swim.

Participants are asked to be at the club's rowing shed at the river end of Prince St, Grafton at 8am.

Participants will need to bring hats, sunglasses and sun block.

If they then wish to continue on and learn to row, the club then charges a fee of $50 for six lessons. Most of this fee is deducted from membership fees if learners then decide to join the club.

Age is no barrier with rowing, as the club has active members in their 80's, regularly rowing and representing the club at regattas.
