Grants of up to $5000 available for flood repairs

FLOOD-affected community organisations maybe eligible for grants up to $5000 to help them rebuild damaged infrastructure.

St.George Bank has announced $100,000 worth of funding to be made available for community groups who have been victims of recent extreme flooding that has caused widespread damage across northern NSW and Queensland.

The regional executive for the North Coast region, Scott McCluskey, said the funding is available to use in the rebuilding of local infrastructure and resources to help communities get back on their feet.

"Our local branch managers and staff in affected areas have strong links within their local communities and are only too willing to hear from any local community groups in need of funding to help rebuild the damage," he said.

Affected community-based groups can speak to branch staff at a local level, who are nominating known organisations for grants of up to $5000.

St.George customers needing special relief measures or need assistance should contact St.George on 1300 735 090, St.George Assist on phone 1800 629 795, or alternatively call their local branch managers
