CAR-JACKING: Gunman smashes through gate to escape

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred overnight in Goodna.

Initial information suggests that at around 8.30pm, a man parked his vehicle in the driveway of a residence on Queen St when a man approached him on foot.

The man produced what is believed to be a firearm and demanded the keys to the car, and then entered the vehicle.

The owner of the vehicle then closed the gates to the driveway and the man reversed the car through the gates before fleeing the scene in the car.

No one was injured as a result of the robbery.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 183cms tall and was last seen wearing a black vest, a white t-shirt and a black baseball cap.

Investigations are continuing.
