Hailey shoots the Plunge Festival Guide cover
HAILEY Voorand has always been interested in photography, but an outing with a new muse to enter the Clarence In Focus photography competition has led to her work being the new image representing the Plunge Festival.
The photograph, taken at sunset on Pippi Beach in Yamba, is now the cover photograph for the Plunge Festival Event Guide and with 5000 printed copies, as well a larger than life-size versions on buses and adverts, it's something that will attract attention.
"It's kind of surreal, I never thought the shot would get so much attention," Hailey said.
"I'd just made friends with Grace, and you couldn't pick a better person because she's so involved in the community."

Hailey said she thought it was a combination of the colour palette and her position that makes the photo special."
"There's a symmetry about her body, yet at the top her hands make it a little bit different," she said.
"I really enjoy pictures of people, the photos are more personal and people can connect to them."
Hailey will head to college next year to study photography.
