Handmade market a gift for busy kids
NOW you know it's exactly one month until Mother's Day on Sunday, May 11, there'll be no excuses about forgetting to honour mum with something special.
It's probably fair to say most mums enjoy receiving handmade gifts - especially from their own children or grandchildren.
But if your crafty skills aren't up to scratch, luckily this Sunday you will find thousands of hand-crafted items made with love by talented artisans, all in one place.
The Simply Handmade Markets are on again at the Raymond Laurie Sports Centre in Yamba, showcasing about 70 stallholders from across the region and beyond.
Market co-ordinator Gabrielle Hawke said there would be lots of new items not seen at the markets before, as well as the regular goods that were perennial favourites with shoppers.
"The handmade soaps by Sunday Rose will be popular again," she said.
"There are also card-making kits, crystals, jewellery, upcycled clothing, retro swimwear, fresh flower crowns, artists, authors and hats."
The markets are on Sunday 9am-2pm.
