Hard work and dedication

ELIZABETH Mercy Bushell is proof hard work and dedication pay off.

Having started the Biggest Loser at Bodyrock Fitness in Townsend earlier this year, she has continued to attend training sessions and has now lost a little more than 35kg.

Elizabeth's goal is to weigh less than 100kg by the end of September and eventually be in the 80kg range.

Tom Griffiths from Bodyrock Fitness said her achievements were as a result of her hard work and others should follow suit.

"We all make excuses, but in the lead-up to spring it's time to make a deal with ourselves and forget the excuses," Mr Griffiths said.

"Think of solutions instead: one is to jump on board with our Biggest Loser competition.

"You get two awesome sessions a week with us for zip, nada, nuthin', no more to pay, just sweat and toil and for 12 short weeks."

Biggest Loser will be held in Grafton, Maclean and Iluka with support from local exercise providers Bodyrock Fitness in Maclean, Xplode Training in Grafton and Boot Camp in Iluka with Jo Haupt.

For beginners there will also be circuit sessions with Helen Williams. The cost is just $50 and includes two training sessions a week, or $200 for a team entry of 4-7 members.

Weigh-ins are this Saturday, August 31, at the following centres: Grafton Community Centre, Duke St, Grafton 8.30-10am; Maclean, Bodyrock Fitness, 22 Think Rd, Townsend, 10-11 am; Iluka Pharmacy, 4A Young St, Iluka, 9-10am.
