Hartsuyker rewarded with seat in the outer ministry

Mr Hartsuyker was one of 11 MPs named on Monday as part of Prime Minister Tony Abbott's outer min- istry with a key role as Assistant Minister for Employment.

He was officially sworn into the ministry by Gov- ernor-General Quentin Bryce at Government House in Canberra.

Mr Hartsuyker spent the past six years as a shadow minister covering various portfolios.

After having held the New South Wales seat of Cowper since 2001, Mr Hartsuyker will be a key support for Employment Minister Senator Eric Abetz.
