READY TO LAUNCH: Relay For Life committee members and Dougal the Bear with Abby Wallace from Cancer Council NSW.

RELAY For Life kicked off with a bang on Saturday at an action-packed launch at Grafton Shoppingworld.

As well as Dougal Bear, the relay's mascot, there was Zumba, face painting and a special cake-cutting.

The date for next year's event is set for the weekend of March 22-23 at McKittrick Park, South Grafton, and now all that is needed is community members to raise their hands to help.

The northern region of Cancer Council NSW is looking for volunteers, including a chairperson, sponsorship and fundraising co-ordinators, and media co-ordinators.

For details, visit www.relayforlife.org.au or phone Abby Wallace on 6639 1308 or abbyw@nswcc.org.au.
