Help us honour war heroes

DO YOU have information about a family member who served in the First World War?

Don't let it gather dust at home - The Daily Examiner would love to tell their story to a wider audience.

As we build up to the 100th anniversary of the Anzac Cove landings in April 2015, we want to commemorate the local people whose efforts made a difference during the war.

This may have been as a soldier or nurse in the theatre of conflict, or perhaps it was someone on the home front who supported the troops from afar.

Whatever their contribution, the key to honouring their piece of the puzzle may lie with you.

Bring your information, including photos, to our office at 55 Fitzroy St, Grafton or email us at newsroom@dailyexaminer.com.au.

And don't forget to follow our Centenary Milestones series, which marks a series of key moments in the First World War in the lead-up to the Gallipoli anniversary.

The next milestone will appear this Saturday and will focus on the Australian volunteer troop recruitment effort, the inception of the Australian Red Cross movement and the failure of conscription.
