He crashed a jeep? Supercar driver offers Buddy lessons

LANCE "Buddy" Franklin, it seems you need some advanced training. For the road, that is.

And V8 Supercar driver and owner of the Performance Driving Centre Paul Morris has put his hand up for the job.

He has extended an open invitation to Sydney Swans AFL star to undergo an Advanced Driver Training course.

Franklin is in hot water today after the Jeep he was driving last night hit four parked cars. The a Jeep loaned by Jeep Australia to his girlfriend, television presenter and model Jesinta Campbell.

After several incidents over recent months, Morris is giving Franklin the opportunity to go through a number of driving activities that will assist him should he find himself in trouble in the future.

"We'd like to provide an open opportunity for Buddy to come and spend a day with us here at the Performance Driving Centre," said Morris.

"A day of Advanced Driver Training will arm him with the correct skills to handle difficult road situations he might find himself in, it will also teach him correct attitudes when on the road, which will provide a safety net for his passengers and fellow road users."

"Advanced Driver Training isn't just something for racecar drivers, everyone from pre-license right through to so-called experienced drivers should be completing a course," added Morris.

"Buddy wouldn't have got to where he is in the AFL world without having access to the best training methods and being shown how to be the best footballer he can be.

"Being a road user is absolutely no different - everyone needs to be armed with the skills to ensure they are the most competent and safest drivers on the road."
